About This Product
Water is poured in through the central funnel and electrodes are fitted into the side tubes with bungs; when a current is passed, gas gathers at the top of each side tube and is read against the graduations. Opening the stopcocks releases each gas through its jet into a test tube, so the products of this Electrolysis apparatus can be tested separately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. Are the clamps and support base included? No. Clamps and a support base are sold separately and are recommended so the unit can be mounted on a retort rod.
Q2. How is the gas volume measured? Each side tube is graduated 0-50 x 0.2 mL, so the volume of gas in each can be read directly.
Q3. How is gas collected for testing? Jets with stopcocks at the top of the side tubes let the gas be collected in test tubes.
